Tech Packs Co is a DFY Product Development Studio that helps physical product and fashion brands take their ideas from concept to creation.
We support emerging and established product brands in designing, developing, and producing high-quality garments and accessories—helping them bring industry-standard products to life faster, more profitably, and with greater efficiency.
We are looking to hire a genius, confident, detail-oriented team member who can support our client project delivery, development workflows, and product creation process from start to finish.
This is a primarily remote position. On occasion you may need to conduct fitting in-person at a co-working space near you. Or you may need to review samples or swatches that have been mailed to you in person.

Tech Packs Co offers DFY product development services for fashion and physical product brands, including design, tech design, pattern creation, 3D sampling, sourcing, sample development, and production support.
We help brands develop high-quality products that align with their goals, budgets, timelines, and supply chain requirements.
YOUR ROLE
As a company, our goal is to grow Tech Packs Co with more clients and continue solidifying our brand as the industry standard in product development.
We are seeking your help with supporting our client delivery and maintaining part of the ongoing services of the company.
You must have experience in fashion/soft goods production, garment/product design, product development, or a related field—and feel comfortable learning and applying our philosophies and systems.
This position requires:
Availability during Pacific Time business hours for weekly client calls
Availability for the weekly team meeting: Tuesdays 4PM PST / 5PM PDT (8AM ASIA PACIFIC)
Availability to respond to Slack messages within 1 business day
Ability to attend occasional in-person fittings at your closest co-working space
Apple Mac computer using an up to date operating system
Adobe Illustrator licence
Headset with microphone and web cam

Working with clients (product brands) to take their ideas into physical product form
Helping brands merchandise ranges and plan production
Designing products based on goals, budgets, timelines, fabric choices, and supply chain needs
Creating measurements specifications and size charts
Handing off sketches, notes and specs to the tech design team to create tech packs from
Sourcing fabrics, trims, and components
Managing the sample-making process—fittings, revisions, documentation
Leading client calls and providing strategy, feedback, and progress updates
Daily communication with clients via email following our inbox policies
Daily communication with suppliers via WhatsApp Business or WeChat
Daily communication with the team via Slack chat
Keeping all files, assets, samples, and materials organized and properly labeled
Taking meticulous notes, checking off and adding new tasks in our project management system
Supporting the delivery of high-quality work that meets our high standards of accuracy and excellence
Upholding all company values in day-to-day communication and execution
PROJECT BASED TASKS
As a small and growing business, new projects may arise. You may assist with:
Supporting new workflows or services
Participating in future launches
Helping with photoshoots or creative development
Working with evolving AI workflow integration as the tech develops

IN PERSON TASKS (OCCASIONAL)
Attending fittings with a fit model at a co-working location
Reviewing samples or swatches sent to you by mail
All in-person days will be communicated in advance.
A Week in the Life Could Look Like:
You join our weekly Tech Packs Co team meeting with updates from clients and suppliers. You check our project management tool for deadlines, review sample progress, follow up with factories, and prepare for a client fitting.
You write a new measurements spec to hand off to our tech design team for tech pack creation, and annotate revisions from a sample review.
You lead client calls to provide strategic guidance on merchandising, design choices, timelines, or sourcing.
You label and organize new sample photos and reference files, documenting each change clearly and filing correctly.
You reply to clients and suppliers in alignment with our inbox policies and maintain proactive communication to keep all projects moving smoothly.

WORK EXPECTATIONS
This is a remote role with a flexible schedule with ongoing deadlines for all client delivery at Tech Packs Co
You are expected to:
Maintain a strong internet connection
Have a quiet and professional looking workspace so you can lead client calls confidently
Attend in-person fittings or sample reviews when required (occasional)
Communicate proactively and manage expectations clearly
Uphold the highest standards of detail and quality
This is a contracted role.
This is a contracted role for 40 hours a month (10 hours a week)
Monthly pay $1600 ($40 p/hour)
Annual PTO days
Annual stipend for equipment or professional/personal development
CANDIDATE PREFERENCES
We prefer at least 60% of the following skills. However, you’re welcome to apply even if you do not meet every requirement but have strong product development experience:

✓ Excellent knowledge of garment/soft goods construction and materials
✓ Experience writing measurement specs and size charts
✓ Experience understanding tech packs
✓ Experience sourcing materials and suppliers
✓ Experience working with factories or suppliers and communicating efficiently
✓ Experience with fittings and sample revisions
✓ Experience with merchandising or production planning
✓ Experience with project management tools
✓ Strong attention to detail
✓ Strong organizational skills
Exceptional candidates might also posses:
✓ Experience with sewing garments/other soft goods
✓ Experience with digital pattern making
✓ Experience with Clo3D (or other 3D sample making)
